It supports any format you can throw at it, including DivX. DivX is like the MP3 of video. You can get almost DVD quality with very small file sizes. In the near future you may be able to download movies in DivX format or your digital camcorder may record in DivX format. It plays your regular DVD-Video, video CD, audio CD, JPEG image CD, and CDs loaded with MP3, MPEG-4, or DivX 3.11/4.x/5.x files. Even if you don't currently use these formats, the player costs little more than other quality DVD players. And it's firmware upgradable, meaning you can upgrade the player's operating system to give it more features. You can get the firmware update here.
